DIY Tutorial: How to Make a Pop-up Card
Idea and execution: Andrea Reiß
A pop-up card is a creative way to bring joy to someone. With simple materials, you can design a three-dimensional landscape that comes to life when the card is opened.
- Seccorell smudge pastels
- Cardstock or thick white paper
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- Ruler
On a sheet of paper in portrait format, about twice the size of a postcard, use Seccorell smudge pastels to paint a sky in the upper area and a meadow with a path in the lower area.
Fold the paper exactly in the middle. Then cut four slits of different lengths into the folded edge. These will later hold your motifs.
On a separate piece of paper, create three small trees and a little house. Cut them out and glue them onto the folded strips. Let your creativity run free. This principle works with countless motifs.
