Coloring and designing Easter eggs

First, blown-out or boiled eggs should be rubbed thoroughly with vinegar to degrease them and remove any stamps. Then rinse the eggs with clean water and dry them carefully.

To prepare the desired color, rub the matching color stick on the rubbing block, brush out the pigment powder, and collect it in a small bowl. Then gently clean the egg with a damp cloth.

Now you can paint eggs: pick up the pigment with your finger and apply it directly to the damp egg using a smudging motion. Occasionally moisten your finger with a little water to make the color glow more intensely. Mixing several colors also creates beautiful effects for decorating Easter eggs.

You can now personalise the painted egg, for example by erasing details with a fine eraser refill holder (see image on the left). Seccorell finger smudge pastels are non-toxic. Once fully peeled, the boiled eggs can be eaten as usual.
