Coloring and designing Easter eggs

Ostereier mit Seccorell Finger-Wischmalfarben in Korb

With Seccorell smudge pastels, Easter egg coloring becomes a special creative experience. Paint eggs in soft color gradients or vibrant shades and create beautifully decorated Easter eggs for your Easter display.

Cleaning Easter eggs with vinegar
Step 1

First, blown-out or boiled eggs should be rubbed thoroughly with vinegar to degrease them and remove any stamps. Then rinse the eggs with clean water and dry them carefully.

Step 2

To prepare the desired color, rub the matching color stick on the rubbing block, brush out the pigment powder, and collect it in a small bowl. Then gently clean the egg with a damp cloth.

Step 3

Now you can paint eggs: pick up the pigment with your finger and apply it directly to the damp egg using a smudging motion. Occasionally moisten your finger with a little water to make the color glow more intensely. Mixing several colors also creates beautiful effects for decorating Easter eggs.

Step 4

Once dry, polish the egg with a paper towel for a soft shine. You can then decorate the painted Easter egg individually, for example by erasing details with an eraser holder (see image on the left). The colors are food-safe and non-toxic, so the eggs can be consumed without concern.
