What to Expect in the Chroma Set
The Seccorell Chroma is the link between the compact basic painting boxes and the larger Studio and Atelier boxes.
With 16 color sticks, it not only covers the basic colors but also opens access to a broader color spectrum. This makes it ideal for anyone who wants to deepen the Finger smudging technique and work with more color nuances.
In the sturdy metal box, colors and tools are safely embedded in an molded paper insert. Each color stick has its own place, so everything is clearly organized and ready to use.
The positioning of the colors and tools is carefully designed so that nothing gets mixed up during transport.

From what age is the Finger smudging technique suitable?
The technique can already be used by kindergarten-age children under supervision. It is especially recommended for schoolchildren from first grade onward, as creating color powder on the rubbing block requires fine motor skills and concentration.
Are the colors skin-friendly and safe?
The Seccorell finger smudge pastels consist of wax-bound mineral pigments and have been laboratory-tested. For use by children, please follow the age recommendations and instructions for the respective product.
Can color residues be washed out of clothing and off the hands?
If color gets onto clothing, the pigments can usually be removed easily in a normal machine wash. Color residues on the fingers can be removed with water and soap or moist cosmetic wipes.
How does the Finger smudging technique work?
The Seccorell Finger smudging technique follows a structured process: rubbing, brushing, smudging and polishing. The color powder is rubbed from the color stick, transferred to the paper with the brush, smudged with the fingers and finally worked in with a cotton pad.
Are pictures made with Seccorell smudge-proof even without fixative?
Yes. By polishing the surface with a cotton pad at the end, the pigments are worked deeply into the paper fibers so that the pictures become smudge-proof. No additional fixative spray is required.
