For the presentation of illuminated picture stories

With the multifunctional tabletop light-image stage, illuminated transparencies and other images can be presented and viewed using simple means.

In this way, it is possible to lead children and adults into a colorful world of images that can stimulate the imagination – not only when viewing but even during the creation of the image motifs. Whether with changing images for a story or a single image that atmospherically enriches the room: discover how versatile the tabletop stage is and how it brings every motif to life as soon as it glows from within!

On the front of the stage, there is a window cutout measuring W28 x H24 cm, as well as an upper and lower wooden rail. The finished transparency/image is slid from one side between the upper and lower wooden rails and illuminated from behind using a table lamp.

If several images are shown one after another for a story, the new motif is slowly slid in front of the previous one, which is only then pulled out from behind the new one. This creates a beautiful cross-fade effect as a transition. (Template: Julika Joppich, cut-out b/w print/drawing "Root Children", created by Youri, 5 years old).

The back of the tabletop stage can serve as a stable, a small house, or a dollhouse for free play or tabletop puppetry. The stage can also be used as a punch and judy theater.

Short Questions & Answers about Seccorell

Here you will find compact answers about the Seccorell smudging technique, the use of the colors and important properties such as skin-friendliness, cleaning and smudge resistance.

From what age is the Finger smudging technique suitable?

The technique can already be used by kindergarten-age children under supervision. It is especially recommended for schoolchildren from first grade onward, as creating color powder on the rubbing block requires fine motor skills and concentration.

Are the Seccorell colors skin-friendly and non-toxic?

The Seccorell Finger smudge pastels are skin-friendly, safe to use and non-toxic. This makes them ideal companions for children, school and creative applications.

Can color residues be washed out of clothing and off the hands?

If color gets onto clothing, the pigments can usually be removed easily in a normal machine wash. Color residues on the fingers can be removed with water and soap or moist cosmetic wipes.

How does the Finger smudging technique work?

The Seccorell Finger smudging technique follows a structured process: rubbing, brushing, smudging and polishing. The color powder is rubbed from the color stick, transferred to the paper with the brush, smudged with the fingers and finally worked in with a cotton pad.

Are pictures made with Seccorell smudge-proof even without fixative?

Yes. By polishing the surface with a cotton pad at the end, the pigments are worked deeply into the paper fibers so that the pictures become smudge-proof. No additional fixative spray is required.
