The Seccorell technique is ideal for designing Waldorf epoch booklets
Plant science 5th grade
Seccorell has long been an integral part of creative work in schools and educational institutions. The children "work" directly with the pigment, experiencing color through movement, pressure and rhythm - in the spirit of Waldorf education, which combines head, heart and hand.

In Year 5 at the Waldorf School, the children encounter the plant kingdom in all its diversity - from simple moss to fully developed flowering plants. The dandelion symbolizes the highest stage of development: radiant, illuminated, full of expressiveness.
Seccorell allows this quality to be depicted with particular sensitivity: The gentle wiping technique brings the light gradients, flower structure and the characteristic shape of the dandelion to life - directly in the epoch booklet, without any brushes, water or fixative.

Painting with Seccorell does not require an elaborate studio situation. As no water pots, brushes or fixing spray are required, you can easily create wonderful designs on almost any type of paper from time to time on exercise book pages, copies and written material.
From an educational point of view, the use of Seccorell offers some useful advantages and effective areas of practice:
→ When dosing the abrasion quantity of the paint powder, foresighted assessment is required: How much do I need? How much can I process?
→ The rubbing of the pigment on the abrasive and the subsequent brushing and wiping painting correspond to a basic human need: something is destroyed and then redesigned.
→ Skin contact when painting creates closeness to the developing picture.
→ Ideally, all fingers are used for the different color tones. This helps to train the basal senses, whose lack of development is often lamented. This can also be used to practise body geography and combined with a small attention exercise: "Which finger is it now?" - "The green one, the ring finger fits!"
From the daily use of Seccorell and the encouraging reports from users and teachers, we can guess that this painting technique still has many possibilities - new ideas are constantly emerging!
Field fairs 10th grade
The artistic elaboration of the site plan with Seccorell deepens the spatial imagination and promotes mindfulness in dealing with dimension, form and landscape.

Seccorell also proves its worth when drawing up field measurement plans in the 10th grade - an integral part of Waldorf education. The colors can be applied precisely and evenly, which effectively supports the clarity and differentiation of paths, areas and measuring points. Clean, permanent site plans are created without any water or fixing spray - directly in the workbook. The intuitive application of paint with the fingers promotes concentration, fine motor skills and a sensual-artistic relationship to one's own work.
