The cheerful box for the painting table
The Seccorell Rondo combines thoughtful functionality with distinctive design: the round cardboard box is covered with natural brown paper and features a motif by artist Andrea Reiß. The box is sturdy and ideal for everyday use at the painting table, at school or at home.
Inside, a removable cardboard insert creates a second level for the Grating Block, cleaning brush and eraser stick. The color sticks are safely stored underneath. Removing the bottom insert creates space for up to 24 colors, making the box practical both for expanding your selection and for compact storage.
During use, color powder is produced on the Grating Block and then smudged onto the painting surface with the fingers. This creates soft color gradients, well-defined areas of color or contours. The finger smudging technique promotes fine motor skills and color awareness and is valued by children and adults alike, particularly at school, at home, in the studio and in therapeutic settings.

From what age is the Finger smudging technique suitable?
The technique can already be used by kindergarten-age children under supervision. It is especially recommended for schoolchildren from first grade onward, as creating color powder on the rubbing block requires fine motor skills and concentration.
Are the colors skin-friendly and safe?
The Seccorell finger smudge pastels consist of wax-bound mineral pigments and have been laboratory-tested. For use by children, please follow the age recommendations and instructions for the respective product.
Can color residues be washed out of clothing and off the hands?
If color gets onto clothing, the pigments can usually be removed easily in a normal machine wash. Color residues on the fingers can be removed with water and soap or moist cosmetic wipes.
How does the Finger smudging technique work?
The Seccorell Finger smudging technique follows a structured process: rubbing, brushing, smudging and polishing. The color powder is rubbed from the color stick, transferred to the paper with the brush, smudged with the fingers and finally worked in with a cotton pad.
Are pictures made with Seccorell smudge-proof even without fixative?
Yes. By polishing the surface with a cotton pad at the end, the pigments are worked deeply into the paper fibers so that the pictures become smudge-proof. No additional fixative spray is required.
